While an affiliate of SHRM National, the Chapter operates independently to provide a wide variety of professional development and networking opportunities for Sumter area HR professionals. Chapter Organization

SHRMA is governed by four officers, elected every two years, which include the President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. In addition, four standing committees have been established to address HR issues deemed important by member input, suggestions and needs. Currently, these committees include Workforce Readiness, Legislative, Certification, and Membership.
